My Very Hungry Caterpillar App Reviews

This is the direction all childrens apps should go. We even use this app to help teach my son counting and colors. Very good option for us to spend quality time exploring when we are stuck inside on rainy days. I would give a five star if each play area/scene was more fixed in place. What happens is when my son tries too use his finger to interact with the content he swipes to the next scene frequently. You have to have the app to understand.

Difficult to control. Tedious and frustrating. Constantly accidentally scrolling or unable to grab the desired object. Looks great but works terribly. Dont buy.

My two-year-old great-grandson is enthralled with this app. Eric Carles Very Hungry Caterpillar has been his favorite book, and he loves the many activities with this charming caterpillar. This app is wonderful on so many levels!

My 4 year old son really loves this game. He wishes that he could always see the butterflies he has hatched in the background though. Great little game. Love the music.

I cannot believe they get away with charging $5 for this app. Thankfully my son likes it but ONLY because its a story he loves My two year old can complete the cycle in no time... What happens next!? Nothing!!!! It just starts over. The games are not varied.... Most certainly not $5 worth!!!!!! Not entertaining. Worst use of a $5 ever. I simply cannot see how they justify that.

Great fun for my daughter. Note: initially this app didnt have any sound, and all other apps had sound except this one. Turns out it was the system mute, not volume control. This app uses system mute setting but I guess other apps ignore it...

My son loves this app. He wants to play pattacilla all the time. The only thing keeping it from being a 5 star app is the lack of the option to choose the number of cycles before the caterpillar turns into a butterfly. That is his favorite part but he is 2 and sometimes gets frustrated that he has to wait 4-5 cycles before the butterfly emerges. This has caused a number or tantrums unfortunately. Please please add the option the make it a shorter number of cycles and it will be a 5+ star app!!

My 2 yr old daughter loves this app. Its very simple for her to manipulate and she gets very excited when the butterfly emerges after caring for her caterpillar.

Bought this for my daughter to play. She loves it. The indicators on what to do sometimes weren’t the clearest for her (she’s almost 4) but once I showed her she knew what to do. Love the graphics/art style. Worth every penny. Thanks!

My four year old nephew loves this app. The fluid designs are amazing and the app is simply addictive. Very well thought of for young kids.

Worse kids app I have ever bought.Not worth the price, feel like I was just ripped off. Very, very Slow and doesnt really do anything. Will never buy from them again.

For an app for a 19 month old, has his full attention. My toddler recognizes objects, interacts, ... Repetitious for adults, but beautiful and simple. Worth a few bucks to give a toddler a smile for sure

Very good graphics and the objective is very simple, feed and play with your baby caterpillar until it turns into a butterfly. My three yr old daughter really enjoys this game. The hardest parts for her are figuring out the position of the watering cans and getting Mr. Caterpillar off the little sailboat. Overall, good game.

My 3 year old son loves this charming little game. Its great for teaching your little one how to manage responsibilities.

My son loves this App but he keeps looking and asking for for the cacoon. They could make this app better and more educational if they added that into this app! He is on the autistic spectrum and knows that part of the story is missing!

My boys (4 & 5) love this game. Personally i wish there were more too it. I keep waiting for it to be boring to them (because of its repetitive nature), but 30 days in that hasnt happened yet.
